Towns and communities just about everywhere encounter at some point difficulties to organize and execute projects to better the infrastructure and the living in their piece of the world, and Tamarindo is not the exception. Throughout the years, here in Tamarindo, different Boards of the ADIT (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral de Tamarindo, or Tamarindo Community Development Association) have made attempts, with various levels of success, to do just that. The current Board members were elected in June, 2016 and it is headed by Urs Schmid, manager of Hotel Capitán Suizo. They are all working as volunteers to improve our town’s infrastructure and help maintain responsible growth, are proving to be well organized and have been hard working in tackling multiple projects like; Lifeguards, Recycling, Beach Cleaning, Langosta Road, Security, Oneida Park cleaning and restoration, etc.
Although Tamarindo is a thriving and growing beach town there will always be something that needs improvement, but no matter how well organized or well-intentioned our board members are they need financial help.
If there has ever been an appropriate time to help with a donation or your time, it is now.
