At the south end of Playa Grande, closest to Tamarindo is Palm Beach Estates. Palm Beach has the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Tamarindo Estuary on the other. With easy access by boat into Tamarindo, this area makes for a pristine getaway with the services of a booming beach town just a short boat trip, paddle, or swim away. This residential community has more than 70 homes. Palm Beach Estates is a short walk to the beach and also has some beachfront homes. The large number of homes and easy access to Tamarindo, make Palm Beach Estates a popular vacation rental market.
At 0.3 acres, lot #103 is one of the larger properties currently on the market in Palm beach estates. This lot is surrounded by nature and is approximately 200 ft. from the beach and is within earshot of the sound of the waves.
Playa Grande beach also belongs to El Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas which is a national conservation park for wildlife in Costa Rica. It was created in 1990 to protect the endangered Leatherback turtles. More info about this here. The Playa Grande community consists of quaint hotels, laid-back restaurants, and small shops. For serious grocery shopping, there is a large store less than 10 minutes inland where the Tamarindo/Grande/Flamingo roads meet in a small town called Huacas. Tamarindo and its amenities are accessible in about 20 minutes by car. It’s also possible to wade the estuary during low tide at the south Palm Beach Estates end of Grande or hire a small local boat called a panga to take you across.
